LU announcement concerning Hurricane Harvey

Due to Hurricane Harvey, the start of the fall 2017 semester has been delayed. As many of our students live and work in areas impacted by this severe weather system, we are committed to accommodating our collective community. The fall semester will be completed in its entirety once we commence classes and make final arrangements for covering all of the necessary course material. All classes, and other academic events and activities, are cancelled through Tuesday (Aug. 28-29). This includes all face-to-face and online classes. Registration-related activities will be extended accordingly to accommodate enrollment and payment issues.

University officials are watching the storm system closely and will issue official announcements about any other delays affecting the start of the fall semester as soon as possible. Student and employee safety will be paramount in these decisions.

As you monitor the ongoing situation, please access Lama University’s website (, official social media sites and ConnectEd about the start of the fall semester. We look forward to sunshine and the start of a successful fall semester
