The Symphony of Southeast Texas will present “Triumphant Tchaikovsky,” a concert performance at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 19, at the Julie Rogers Theatre.
“Our fantastic season continues with some wonderful triumphs of the greatest composers of all time,” Matthew Detrick, SOST concert master and violin soloist, said.
The concert will include Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, Ludwig van Beethoven’s ‘Egmont Overture’ and Georges Bizet’s Symphony in C.
“(It) makes for an international program of time-honored classics,” Detrick said.
Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto has been considered to be one of the most technically difficult works for the violin, Detrick said.
“It will be an evening not to be missed,” he said.
Tickets prices range from $26 to $46 and are available at www.sost.org.
The Julie Rogers Theatre is located at 765 Pearl St. in Beaumont.
